This Tanzania safari tour has been carefully designed to sample some of the incredible contrasts of Tanzania. An adventure in the Rift Valley where you can enjoy the fantastic wildlife of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater from the comfort of atmospheric lodges.
Day 1: Mountain Village Lodge, Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met outside custom area by your private and vehicle, you will be transferred by road to your lodge.Accommodation: In a standard room with en suite facilities on a bed and breakfast basis.
The Mountain Village Lodge offers a classic Africa experience with accommodation in individual rondavel style thatch chalets and a warm, friendly and hospitable atmosphere, all dwarfed by the spectacular views of Lake Duluti, Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro.
The lodge has a large central restaurant and bar with roof terrace. The area boasts a prolific birdlife and nature walks to the lake can be arranged.
Days 2 – 3: Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania
This morning after breakfast, you will proceed towards Gibbs Farm, where you stop for lunch. You visit the farm en-route and then transfer to the lodge.
Accommodation: In a room with a private terrace and en suite bathroom on a full board basis, including one full day game drive in a 4X4 safari vehicle. Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge hosts guests in 75 guest rooms, all boasting en suite showers and a private terrace.
The lounge and dining room are set indoors, with large glass windows providing stunning views of the crater. Activities available include day trips into the caldera, visits to the local Masai village or even visits to the famous Olduvai Gorge, all at an additional cost.
Days 4 & 5: Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge,Tanzania
After breakfast, drive toSerengeti stopping en route at Olduvai Gorge, he site of Dr. & Mrs. LSB Leakey’s discovery of Zinjanthropus bosei. Here, you will enjoy a short talk from one of the Deputies of Antiquities, who will explain to you what has been done and what continues to happen.
The Gorge was discovered accidentally by a German butterfly collector, Professor Kattwinkle, in 1911, but it was not until 1959 that Dr. Mary Leakey unearthed the Zinj skull believed to be 1.8 million years old.
After clearing customs you continue with your scheduled flight to Seronera airstrip. On arrival, you will be met by a lodge representative and transferred by road to Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.
Two nights accommodation is offered at this lodge in the Serengeti, in a twin bedded chalet with en-suite facilities on a full board basis including park fees, return airstrip transfers and one full day of game drives for your Tanzania safari holiday.
The Serengeti is a natural paradise and home to one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth, the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. The lodge is inspired by a traditional African village; separate rondavel (hut) house the luxury guest rooms that have their own view of the vast Serengeti plains.
Days 6 : Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, Tanzania
In the morning you will be transferred to Seronera airstrip to connect with a scheduled flight to Manyara airstrip. From there you will be transferred to Lake Manyara Lodge.
You will stay at the beautiful Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge for 2 nights in a thatched room with an en-suite bathroom. Your stay here is on a full board basis including one full day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park in a 4×4 safari vehicle, transfers and park fees.
Lake Manyara National Park abounds with birdlife and wildlife. You can experience all of this on one of the safari activities during your Tanzania safari holiday.
Days 7: Return to Arusha/Depart
After breakfast morning game drive Manyara Park. In the afternoon return to your lodge where you will have lunch and thereafter return to Arusha. On arrival you have an option to go shopping before proceeding to the airport.
